Knowing yourself right...
Can you measure how good you are at something? Is it a relative measure?
Lets consider an example of painting.
Say you can paint, or maybe you think you can paint.
How will you determine if you are really good at it or not? You will find many people telling you, that you are really good and that they cannot paint to save their lives. Well but if you compare yourself to great artists like Van Gogh you are nothing. Its unfair to not know your true worth. Are you sure you are the best person for a job?
There is overconfidence and underconfidence in oneself and there is knowing oneself right. How can someone know that 'right'?
Is it not what people think about your work? But then different people have different opinions... and even your own opinion might be biased..

This is a famous quote by Einstein "Not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that can be counted counts." So I would say that neither get carried away by the amateurs commentors' nor to lose confidence by comparing yourself with great artists. Slowly and steadily you have to carve a niche for yourself. As time passes you will get to know yourself better from the sweet and bitter experiences in your life. So for "Knowing yourself right..." believe in yourself and listen to your heart.
